Lady Gaga and Metallica's anticipated collaboration on the band's "Moth Into Flame" could've saved rock 'n roll at the 2017 Grammys, were it not for technical issues that marred the number's sound. Metallica frontman James Hetfield's mic malfunctioned for a large first chunk of the performance — and though the outage was rectified by the end, Hetfield appeared angry afterward, basically hurling his guitar at a hapless techie (though his maneuver over to Gaga's mic did make for some cool moments).

But today (March 3), Gaga and Metallica have shown the world what they missed by sharing the Grammys "Moth Into Flame" dress rehearsal video. Metallica's calling the clip "How It SHOULD Have Sounded," which, fair enough. The unlikely team-up went off without a hitch prior to the February 12 telecast, and both Gaga and Hetfield's vocals sound great.
