It's puppy season at It Takes a Village - IZBELLE and her nine puppies are a perfect example of some doggies that need your help.

IZBELLE is a hound mix that just gave birth to her litter on February 20th (2021). She and her puppies, all nine of them, were rescued from a high kill shelter so they would not be euthanized. The family is currently hanging out in an extra room at It Takes a Village, however, they prefer to place our new rescues into a foster home - this will allow IZBELLE to nurse and raise her puppies in a home setting and not a loud, stressful shelter setting. Simply put, a shelter is NO place for newly born puppies to stay.
IZBELLE will do most of the work with the newborn puppies, so feeding and letting momma out for potty breaks is really the main requirement.  Even if you can only commit to foster for a few weeks, ITV will take it!  They have multiple litters and are expecting several pregnant dogs in the coming weeks, so they are in a foster emergency situation. Remember, ITV will provide whatever you need and will guide you through the process.

All of the animals at ITV are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered and FIV/FeLV-tested.

ITV is open during regular hours now that the holidays are over. However, they have received so much support and interest over shut down, that they are still working diligently to review all correspondences. They appreciate everyone’s patience as they find the best matches for their rescues.
