Numerous books of all types are going to be available at the Used Book Fair. They'll be available for donations that will benefit the Boulware Mission here in Owensboro. Those 'donations' range from 50 cents to $5 per book. Additional donations for Boulware Mission will be gratefully accepted.

Boulware Mission offers displaced individuals in the community the chance to become self-sufficient through treatment, education and services. The facility is located at 609 Wing Avenue.

Jeff Moles, who serves as First Presbyterian's Director of Christian Education and Mission says, "Our church members have been looking for creative ways to support community partners.  Preparing for the used book fair has been a fun way to get lots of people involved in loving our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who has donated books and to all who will be giving those books new homes!

First Presbyterian Church's Used Book Fair opens at 9am Saturday and will be open through 4pm. It's going to be located in the Fellowship Hall.  As you can see, it's already being loaded up with tables and tables of books- for children and adults!

The Fellowship Hall is accessed in back of First Presbyterian Church at 1328 Griffith Avenue.

Gary Estes, who is currently the Interim Executive Director at Boulware Mission, is exceptionally excited about the sale. He says, "The proceeds received from the book fair will be used towards the purchase of a defibrillator.  The Boulware management team is very appreciative of First Presbyterian Church naming us as the beneficiary of these proceeds."
