There is just something magical about waking up to snow falling. Now, I know not everyone loves a snow day. As grown ups, we still have to go to work which means cleaning off vehicles, navigating icy roads, etc. Not to mention when ice is added to the mix, we have to deal with dangers of trees falling and electricity going out.

Winter Time Fun

I saw so many adorable pictures and videos of kids and pets playing outside, sledding, and making snowmen. However, the cutest thing I've seen on social media since Winter Storm Blair blew through the Midwest was not a child or a dog, it was a polar bear.

St. Louis Zoo Polar Bear

We LOVE the St. Louis Zoo. So many amazing animal exhibits and experiences and entry is free! Our first stop when we go is to visit the penguins and seals. You really get up close and personal with them in their habitats. Another favorite animal of ours at the St. Louis Zoo is Kali the polar bear.

St. Louis Zoo Live Stream

You better believe Kali has been having the time of his life the past couple of days! St. Louis got around six inches of snow which meant the zoo was closed to visitors, but officials noticed how happy Kali was and wanted to share it with his fans via live stream.

On the zoo Facebook page, lots of folks are chiming in:

Someone commented, "Get that guy a coca cola!"

Another person said, "He's probably the only being in St. Louis who approves of the snow!"

Others are sharing pictures of their cats who are LOVING watching Kali play on their tvs! SO ADORABLE.

My favorite comment was from a person who remembered when it was a really big deal to visit the zoo when it snowed to see the polar bear play!

"When my kids would have snow days we would go to the zoo. We would walk around and drink hot chocolate and watch the animals play in the snow. It was an awesome day. We played with the river otters for at least an hour. We would swish the snow off of the wall and they would roll around in it as it fell. Then they would go into the water down the slide and it was ice and it was so much fun to watch. My kids still talk about that to this day"

I've linked it below, but if you have trouble with it loading, you can click here to watch the cuteness.

I'd love to see a live stream of some of the other animals that love cold weather. Like the seals or penguins or the Snow Leopard! Which one is your favorite?
