As soon as I saw her precious face and read the words "at risk of euthanasia," my heart dropped. Maybe it was the immediate redhead connection, or my love of her namesake, but I really want to help her find a home before it's too late.

Reba came to the shelter as a stray back in February. Five months is a long time to have lived in a cold kennel. She only has a few days left to find a soft place to land. If she doesn't, sweet Reba will meet an incredibly unfair fate. The good news is, if your application for her is approved, her adoption fee has been sponsored!

The amazing volunteers at the Daviess County Animal Shelter are doing the absolute best they can, but the shelter, like many across the country, is bursting at the seams. She has until Monday before she is euthanized.

This beauty is a red pitbull with a big ole kissable head. It is rude to ask a lady her age, but we do know she has been a mama in the past. She is super loving, generous with kisses, and is a professional tree inspector. Her favorite thing is to waller on the ground in a shady spot.

This patient gal is great on a leash, loves to play, but her only "diva trait" is that she prefers to be the only four-legged star of the show. No doggy friends please and thank you! It's Reba's world and we're just living in it. Such a funny personality.

Shelter volunteer, Kristi took Reba for an adventure and they had a ball together. Exploring Rural King, enjoying a delicious pup cup, and snuggling on a soft couch was like heaven for this good girl.  However, her favorite part of the day was probably the car ride! She looks like the BEST sidekick! Can you picture her in your passenger seat? To see a fun video of their day on the town, click here.

Kristi shared, "She is worried. She is tired. She is anxious. And she deserves to understand and know what real love feels like." Reba still has hope that someone will come rescue her! If that person is you, here is her adoption application. If you can't give her a permanent home, but still want to help, you could temporarily foster her or even just share her story.
