Feel The Love in This Picture Perfect Kentucky Town for Valentine’s Day
When I saw photos of these epic Valentine's Day decorations, funny enough, it made me think of the beginning of The Nightmare Before Christmas. You know when the narrator is walking in the woods and finds the trees with little doors that have different holiday shapes painted on them? There is Halloween Town, of course, and then Easter Town, Christmas Town, etc.
The door to Valentine's Town would open up to Barbourville, Kentucky. In Southeastern, KY, this town knows how to celebrate a holiday! They are the sweetest town in the Bluegrass State and their Valentine's festivities and decorations will have you feeling like you've been hit with Cupid's arrow. They go ALL OUT.
Festivities like romantic carriage rides and local actors put on a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre date night. They also plan a market so you can shop for a special gift for your sweetheart and an annual concert by the Union College Choir. Folks are encouraged to participate in a "Selfie Crawl" taking pictures with all of the beautiful photo opportunities thanks to their epic heart displays all over town.
This beautiful rose heart is the perfect frame for a sweetheart portrait.
Look at this cute little love shack! Right by the beautiful romantic fountain so you can toss a penny and make a wish for love.
And inside the love shack is plastered with hearts and fun lights.
This pretty heart is right by the opening of "The Square Art District" which is worth the visit in itself. Lots of cool shops and murals.
Look how magical this is! A great setting for a sweet little date night with some coffee or hot cocoa.
I think I might be in love with Barbourville now! Here's a video of someone walking through the Art District with the hearts sparkling above. Has anyone ever been here? Let us know what it's like!
