How Geppetto’s Burger Captivated Taste Buds and Hearts During Owensboro Burger Week

Owensboro Burger Week 2025 is coming to its close and burger lovers in western Kentucky have enjoyed a record-setting number of participating restaurants and burgers. While there have been many culinary highlights between the buns, donuts and cretzels, another captivating and inspiring burger has emerged- Geppetto's Spicy Chili Classic from Pinocchio's at The Opportunity Center of Owensboro.

There, the clients of the agency have gone into the kitchen to help create and serve up a burger packed full of flavor and heart.

Here's how Geppetto's Spicy Chili Classic is described:

All-beef patty infused with red pepper flakes, topped with melty Colby Jack cheese, thick-cut onion ring, house-made red hot chili, and spring of Mexican blend cheese on onion bun with “Awesome Sauce.”

Today, we got the chance to hang out at The Opportunity Center and have their burger for lunch. It's a delicious and hearty combination of sweet and spice.

While most restaurants participating in Owensboro Burger Week serve through Saturday, March 15th, today marked the final day of the Geppetto Burger. The Opportunity Center is closed on the weekends, so the staff and clients are unable to offer their burger after today.

However, Owensboro Burger Week 2025 proved to be a banner year for the team. Last year, Pinocchio's sold roughly 300 'Burger Week' burgers. As of this story, they're pushing the 400 mark! Team work really does make the dream work.

When you throw an onion ring and some chili on that dream, it makes it even more fulfilling.
