Have a Halloween Hullabaloo at Yellow Creek Park Tonight
For the first time ever, ghouls and goblins will take over Yellow Creek Park for a big ole pumpkin party. Daviess County Parks & Recreation is hosting a Halloween Hullabaloo and, boy, is it gonna be jam-packed with FREE family-friendly fun!
"Approximately 1,500 pumpkins will be available in the Nature Center, with wagon rides provided by Alex Bryant of Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance. Additionally, families are encouraged to bring pumpkins for decoration," shared Jordan Rowe, Communications Coordinator for the Daviess County Fiscal Court.
Tonight, Friday, October 25th from 5-8 PM. The Facebook event page lists all kinds of exciting activities including a costume contest, pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, campfire s'mores, games & crafts, food vendors, and a petting zoo. The event concludes with a FunFlicks viewing of "Hotel Transylvania" on a 40-foot big screen. It's such a cute movie!
I LOVE the idea of watching a movie outside in the park! What a perfect thing to do on a cool fall night. The action is planned for Jim Lambert Pioneer Village, but organizers are expecting a large crowd, so the movie area will be over where the ROMP stage usually is.
Princesses, superheroes, and other friends from Magical Memories Character Co. are also planning to be there for photo opportunities. They are always a blast to hang out with as all of the actors are always in character. Little ones especially will be in awe of their favorites come to life.
The best part? The event is free! Highly recommend taking some money for the delicious food from local food trucks and shopping with the craft vendors. I bet there will be lots of spooky cuteness you just have to have.
