It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Owensboro-Daviess County. Daviess County Fiscal Court and the Daviess County Parks Department just revealed the dates for the 2023 Christmas at Panther Creek drive-thru light Christmas lights display. The show will be open nightly from 6pm to 9pm, Friday, November 24th (the day after Thanksgiving) through Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.

Of course, each year, proceeds from that event are donated to local nonprofit agencies. And Daviess County Fiscal Court just announced the five recipients from this year's display.

They are- the DUST BOWL Basketball Tournament, Aubrey's Song Foundation for Eating Disorders, the Moseleyville Volunteer Fire Department, the Stanley Playground Association and the Help Office of Owensboro. By the way, those organizations were selected by a random drawing of all the agencies who signed up for consideration. There were 23 total in the running this year and the five selected are excited to be a part of the 2023 event.

When Christmas at Panther Creek opens, the cost per car will be $5. Plus, as they have done for years, Owensboro Health will continue their commitment to the community by sponsoring a FREE Community Night. That's set for Thursday, December 14th and the entry fee that evening will be waived for every vehicle that drives through the display.
