Sizzling Debut: New ‘BBQ Blueprint’ Serves Up Mouthwatering Guide to Owensboro’s BBQ & Barrels Festival Delights
BBQ and Barrels is this weekend in Owensboro and there's a fun new addition to the mix. The City of Owensboro just released the first ever BBQ Blueprint.
Fans of Owensboro Burger Week will understand this concept. See, during Burger Week, each participating restaurant creates a specialty hamburger that is served during the event. The BBQ Blueprint operates under the same concept. There are a variety of BBQ vendors and food trucks that are being showcased this year and each has come up with BBQ-themed dish that's being highlighted and served to festival-goers.

In addition to the BBQ vendors showcased above, there are FIVE church cooking teams this year- Blessed Mother, Immaculate, Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Mary of the Woods, and Precious Blood.
Plus, the incredibly popular Backyard Cookoff is back too and those teams will be cooking and competing on Saturday.
