Can You Believe We are in the Twenties?

A few weeks ago, we flipped the calendar to 2025—hard to believe, right? We’re already halfway through the Twenties! And it's even harder to believe that the 1920s were a century ago.

I’ll admit, I’m all in on everything 1920s—whether it’s the music, the slang, the dancing, or the fashion. I can't resist watching any show set in the Roaring Twenties. It’s just such a fun era to dive into!

Speakeasy Party at Germania Männerchor

If you’re as into the 20s as I am, you’ll want to swing by Germania Männerchor’s Speakeasy Party, German-style, on Saturday, February 15th. It’s going to be the bee’s knees! There’ll be a live band, a delicious pork chop meal, and even a costume contest, so make sure you come dressed to the nines—show off your best duds and maybe you'll be the cat’s pajamas. Don’t miss out, it’s gonna be a real humdinger of a time!

It’s the SpeakEasy at Germania Maennerchor on Feb 15th at 6pm! This ain’t no ordinary gin joint! Enjoy a 2-inch pork chop meal, raffles, a best-dressed contest, half pot, and live music with Soul N the Pocket! $35 per person or a table of 10 for $400.

What is Germania Männerchor?

Now, if you’re new to the area or have been living under a rock, you might not be familiar with Germania Männerchor. Founded in 1900 in Evansville, IN, Germania is a men’s chorus and ladies' auxiliary that shares German culture—and food!—with the community. They host their annual Volksfest, where you can dive into authentic Oktoberfest-style food, drinks, and, of course, dancing.
