Do you enjoy checking out unique dive bars throughout Illinois? Here's one you need to add to your must-see list: Electric Funeral Bar in Chicago.

The Creepiest Dive Bar in Illinois

To me, loving true-crime means being drawn to dark stories and dark places, just for the weirdness of them, and Electric Funeral Bar in Chicago checks all those boxes.

On Facebook, Electric Funeral Bar describes themselves as: "Dive bar + Funeral Parlor = Funeral Barlor", and they don't stop at just using caskets and haunted dolls as decorations.

To better understand the vibe of this unique dive bar, check out this occult-inspired drink menu:

Personally, I have never been to Electric Funeral Bar yet, but I'm assuming this review describes the experience pretty perfectly:

I might not know exactly what a "funeral barlor" is all about, but the one thing I do know about dive bars, (and one of the major reasons I love them so much) is, cheap drink prices! All of the specialty cocktails at Electric Funeral Bar appear to be $14 or less, which is pretty darn impressive considering this bar is located in Chicago!

Electric Funeral Bar may not be for everyone, and I think that's exactly the point. Their goal is to be different, quirky, and slightly creepy, and what's not to love about that?

Electric Funeral Bar is located at 3529 S Halsted Street in Chicago and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. If you get there before I do, please let me know what you thought of the place!
