New Horror Movie Shot In Illinois Will Make You Look At Haunted Houses Differently

People throughout Illinois flock to haunted houses every October for the adrenaline-pumping scares, but what if the fantasy became a reality? That's what one new horror movie coming out in October is all about.

Haunted houses are famous for being a terrifying labyrinth of screams, jumpscares, and the occasional blood-curdling wail, but now one of Illinois' scariest haunted houses is  the setting for a tale that's sure to keep you up at night.

Illinois' Best Halloween Event

The Realm Of Terror Haunted House in Round Lake Beach, Illinois is often called "the number one Halloween event in Illinois", and the theme for 2024 is "The Haunting Hour" starring "an ancient, malevolent presence" called The Harbinger.

The Realm of Terror opens for the season on October 4, 2024, and is more than just a haunted house. The event also features themed games and experiences, food and drink, a gift shop, and a family-friendly haunt that doesn't have any actors.

Now that you know the Realm Of Terror is a legit haunted experience you won't want to miss, what if I told you it's about to get even scarier?  ROT recently provided the backdrop for a new horror movie coming out on October 4, 2024 called "Haunt Season", and you may never look at a haunted house the same way after watching it.

Basically, 'Haunt Season, is about a costumed killer that is picking off the cast members of a haunted house by bringing their gory fake injuries to life.
