Recalled Pancake and Waffle Mix May Contain Undisclosed Allergen

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Quaker Oats Company issued a voluntary recall earlier this week after it was discovered that the products which may contain an undisclosed allergen.

Recalled Pancake and Waffle Mix Details

The affected products are sold in two-pound (32 ounce) boxes under the brand name "Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix." The products were sold in stores across eleven states:

  • Arkansas
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • Nebraska
  • Utah
  • Wisconsin

The recalled product boxes are marked with the following UPC, code date, and manufacturing code.

  • UPC: 30000 65040
  • Code Date/Manufacturing Code: BBD SEP 13 25 P

Currently No Allergic Reactions Connected to Recall

While there have been no reports of allergic reactions at this time, there is risk for those who suffer from a severe sensitivity or allergy to milk. Serious or life-threatening allergic reation is possible.

Who to Contact If You Have Questions Regarding the Recall

The FDA says that anyone with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled product, and recommend it be discarded immediately.
