
How To Get Sandbags In Warrick County Before The Storm
The impending weather is bringing with it a very serious threat of flooding for much of the Southern Indiana area. Officials in Warrick County are trying to do their part to help residents prepare.
Inclimate Weather In the Forecast
According to a post to social media from the Warrick County Emergency Management Agency, they want to ensure that county residents have access to both sand and sandbags ahead of the inclimate weather.
Historic Flooding Is Predicted
"Historic flooding" is predicted across the area over the next few days, according to reports. The National Weather Service is predicting as much as 15 inches that could lead to "catastrophic, life-threatening flash flooding."

Warrick EMA is Offering Sand and Sandbag to County Residents
With the threat of extreme flooding, Warrick County EMA is offering sandbags and sand for residents on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out. They remind residents to bring their own shovel in order to fill up the sandbags.
With storms approaching and heavy rainfall expected, we want to ensure that residents in need of sandbags can easily access them. Below are the locations where you can get sandbags and where to pick up sand. Please remember to bring your shovel to fill the sandbags.

Warrick County Emergency Management Agency says that if you stop by one of the fire stations above, and there is no one there to help you, you can either wait or comeback at a later time, as first responders may be out on a call.
Where to Get Sand in Warrick County
Once you have your sandbags, you will need some sand. Officials will have sand available at Vann Road Park located at 5211 Vann Road, Newburgh, while supplies last, and again encourage you to bring your own shovel.
