Indiana Officials Seek Help to ID Body Found in East Fork White River
Authorities are asking for the help of the public to identify a body was found last week in the East Fork White River in Columbus, Indiana last week.
A Body Was Found By a Kayaker on March 27, 2024
According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the body was discovered by a passing kayaker on March 27, 2024 . They say the female body was found partially submerged on a sandbar near the public access ramp on Water Street in Columbus. A cause of death has not yet been released.
Authorities Believe the Woman to Be in Her Mid-40s to Early-50s
Both Indiana Conservation Officers and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department are investigating. The body has been described by authorities as a white woman believed to be in her late 40s to early 50s. They say she is approximately 5 feet, two inches tall, weighing 135 pounds.
She Has Been Described as Having Brown Hair and Hazel Eyes
She has brown hair and hazel eyes and was wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket. The t-shirt she was wearing reads: “Las Vegas Nevada Athletic Dept.” Authorities says she has two scars that could be used to help identify her.
