Kids today will never know what it was like to experience The Matrix when it first came out. At the time, it was futuristic, and to this day, the series' theory holds and grows more believable every day. Computers conquering Earth, machines harvesting humans for energy, and alternate universes or simulations. Everything you need for a classic Hollywood blockbuster, which it was. Essentially, a hacker starts to realize something is wrong with his world, and he's the one chosen to save it. After being shown multiple simulations in which humans can live, and uploaded with software to help him defeat those operating the bad simulations, he sets off to conquer them (the Agents) and save humanity. While the story was written in and for Hollywood, true fans of The Matrix believe this theory of simulation could be real, and here's where Wayne Hart comes in to play.

A crucial aspect of The Matrix is how you escape it. Phone booths and landlines serve as the essential escape from the simulated world. The bandwidth and stable connection needed to transfer human consciousness are so large that these are the only portals that can handle it. Ironic, considering you'd be lucky to find either one today, making them even more crucial to the theories supporting The Matrix. We already knew our favorite weather man had super powers, especially during storms, but this sighting is a whole new hem in the cape.
