The event will include bounce houses for the kids along with bull rides, food trucks, merchandise vendors, and, of course, live country music. The event will welcome artists like BIGG VINNY, Jake Dodds, Studebaker, Beau Avery, and local favorite Sean Stemaly. Headlining the show is Tyler Farr—the first artist signed to Jason Aldean's Night Train Records/BBR Music Group.

Evansville Native Sean Stemaly Heading to Party at Patoka

Sean Stemaly is a Harrison High School graduate who began his career singing at Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh. At the age of 22, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he began writing and producing his own music. His latest project was released in July 2024 and is titled "4 Wheel-Low." The album features 10 original songs, many of which pay homage to his Hoosier roots. "Smoke in the Sky" is one of those tunes.

"I love that song. It's about living in Indiana and Kentucky," Stemaly told me in a recent interview. "I like to write farm appreciation songs sometimes, and that was a concept a couple buddies and I had one day."

Stemaly noted it'd been a couple of years since he last performed in Indiana and that he was excited to head back to the state for a big night of country music. He added that many of his friends and family would be hanging out during Party at Patoka to hear him sing. (Perhaps his return to Indiana will serve as inspiration for a new song?)

Tyler Farr has three No. 1 songs under his belt, including “Redneck Crazy,” “Whiskey in My Water,” and “A Guy Walks Into a Bar." Farr joined the music scene in 2013 with the release of his debut album, Redneck Crazy, which landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200. I spoke with Farr about his early days in country music, which started out at the famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville.

"I was working the door at Tootsies as a bouncer and ended up getting a gig singing there," he said. "That was where I started cutting my teeth on how to entertain. I ended up working with several people who helped me along the way, and then we landed 'Redneck Crazy' as a number one. That really jumped started things."

Farr has been outspoken about his friendship with country star Jason Aldean, who even signed him to his record label in 2019. In 2023, Farr released an EP featuring six songs, including one tune called "Rednecks Like Me." Farr told me the EP title track was inspired by the brave men and women serving our country.

"I had come back from an overseas military tour playing for our troops, and I wanted to write a song in honor of them and everything I believed in. That's what we were going for on that."

Also on the EP was a song featuring Jelly Roll. Farr added that the two had met at several celebrity golf tournaments before he approached the "I Am Not Okay" singer about being on the track. When approached, Jelly Roll's response was a clear "hell yeah."

"He's a sweetheart of a guy and a super talented dude," Farr said. "I was so glad, and I know Aldean was super glad he could jump in there and join us on that."

It's safe to say guests will be in for a real treat when it comes to the country music lineup for Party at Patoka. The event is sponsored by Visit French Lick West Baden, Elmer Lambright Realtor, and Leslie Williams Realtor. You can get your tickets HERE.

14 Country Stars Who've Quit Touring + 3 Tried But Couldn't

Life on the road was just too much for these 17 country stars.

You'll find several legends in perfectly good health as well as at least two young (relatively) hitmakers on this list of stars who quit touring. You'll also find three artists who pulled a Tom Brady — they tried to retire, but life at home just wasn't what they longed for.

Country Stars React to Post Malone's New Country Music

It's not enough to say country stars are supportive of Post Malone's genre-blending new album. Everyone we asked to react to the new music praised the pop-crossover artist and then took time to explain why.

This isn't polite adulation. Below you'll find honest responses from eight stars who've worked with him or watched as he broached the topic of a country album. They're young and old, progressive and traditional. Unless noted, all quotes came from interviews with Taste of Country.
