If you want to give your kids the best Christmas of their childhood, there are two phone numbers you’ll want to add to your contact list.

Christmas truly is "the most wonderful time of the year." As a kid, I can remember watching A Christmas Story (1983) nearly every day on VHS leading up to the big day. We would bake cookies, build gingerbread houses, and even decorate the tree using a variety of ornaments—some older than us kids. If you plan to get as festive as possible this year, I highly recommend giving each of those a try. Additionally, I recommend checking out these "secret" holiday phone numbers, which your kids will absolutely love.

Your Child Can Actually Give Santa a Ring

If you call the number above, you will hear the voice of Santa Claus. Now, to be fair, Santa is a busy guy, so he won't be picking up the phone directly. However, your child can leave a message for Santa containing the items on their Christmas list. The best part? Santa Claus may even call your family back. Plus, the voicemail itself just gives you that warm, fuzzy Christmas feeling.

"Merry Christmas! This is Santa Claus, and you have reached my personal hotline. We have been very busy making all of those toys to deliver Christmas morning," the voicemail bellows. "I want you to know that your family loves you very much, and so do I. So, be good, and don't forget to always listen to your parents."

After your child is done chatting with Santa, there is another phone number you can call to continue the Christmas festivities. When you call the above number, you'll be met with Christmas music and an eager voice ready to tell you a wholesome holiday tale. I called the number a few times and found that I was met with the same story. However, it might be updated as the holidays progress. Have fun!
