River City Rodeo Returns to Evansville This Weekend
The Fourth Annual River City Rodeo will be taking over the Vanderburgh County Fairgrounds this weekend, and they have some very big things in store for you.
The two-day River City Rodeo at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fairgrounds in Evansville takes place on Friday, May 17th, and Saturday, May 18th from 5:00 to 10:30 PM Central each day. The event is put together by the Hoosier Cowboy Association, a non-profit organization that looks to use a "unified and positive culture to improve the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of our communities through relationships, hard work, integrity, and faith."
The River City Rodeo is an amazing event that showcases the very best of cowboy culture and entertainment. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before. So, What kind of events can you expect to see at the River City Rodeo?
• Bull Riding
• Saddle Back Bronco Riding
• Bare Back Bronco Riding
• Steer Wrestling
• Tie Down Roping
• Team Roping
• Barrel Racing
• Breakaway Roping
There will also be activities such as face painting, hair braiding, and other fun interactive games available for the kids at the River City Rodeo. Plus, plenty of food trucks will be on hand so you don't have to go hungry.
Last year's event was a huge success with the inclusion of "Yellowstone" actor Forrie J. Smith who plays Lloyd Pierce, the oldest ranch hand on the fictional Dutton family ranch and one of the members of the group who have been branded for their loyalty to the family and the business. This year, the River City Rodeo will be offering something really cool that I know a lot of people would really like to win.
Your tickets to the River City Rodeo could score you tickets to see Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" in Indianapolis on November 3rd. You can learn more about that in the post below.
Tickets for the event are available now through the Hoosier Cowboy Association website for $20 each (plus taxes and fees) with proceeds going to help provide service animals to first responders and veterans suffering from PTSD.. We'll see you at the rodeo!
