Personally, I'm a big fan of Apple CarPlay, and in the winter, heated seats. Still, there are other elements that have been a part of vehicles for decades that we likely take for granted. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I had absolutely no idea what that little plastic button on my seatbelt was for until just recently. So, if you don't know what it is either, don't sweat it. Its function is honestly so simple that it's no wonder folks have rarely even noticed it. The purpose of that little button, tab, or whatever you want to call it, is to ensure your buckle stays at the end of the belt, so you don't have to waste time adjusting its placement every time you get in and out of your vehicle.

If the stop button on your seatbelt becomes damaged or falls off, it's just going to be more of a hassle to get a hold of your seatbelt buckle. That tab is definitely something you want to keep an eye on if you enjoy the ease of buckling up in a timely manner. However, even if it does fall off, your seatbelt is still perfectly safe to use. Personally, I doubt any of us will truly appreciate this little convenience until we have to go on a ride or two without it.
