I may not visit Texas Roadhouse regularly, but it's safe to say it's probably my favorite national steakhouse chain. I've seldom had a disappointing meal at the restaurant, and let’s face it—those rolls are worth the visit on their own. In addition to all the delicious offerings at Texas Roadhouse, I now have another reason to visit the establishment. On September 18, one Texas Roadhouse locale plans to host a big donation night, with proceeds benefiting the Vincennes Animal Shelter.

Texas Roadhouse Hosting Donation Night for Vincennes Animal Shelter

Texas Roadhouse, located at 401 Kimmell Rd. in Vincennes, Indiana, is opening up its hearts and wallets for a local animal shelter. On Wednesday, September 18, the restaurant will donate 10% of proceeds from food purchases to the Vincennes Animal Shelter to assist with their ongoing needs. Those visiting the restaurant that day will need to present the following flyer for the shelter to receive the donations.

Texas Roadhouse Community Impact

Texas Roadhouse is no stranger to community involvement. For example, the steakhouse chain has been a partner with the Arbor Day Foundation since 2017. Each year, Texas Roadhouse donates $50,000 to support the Arbor Day Foundation's Community Tree Recovery Campaign and even hosts tree distribution events in communities across the country.

Along with planting trees, the company has partnered with Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) for more than 17 years, completing over 300 mortgage-free, custom-built homes for the most severely injured post-9/11 veterans. The chain also hosts several fundraisers, like the one above, in communities all across America every year. You can learn more about their community involvement HERE.

SEE: 15 Animals You Cannot Own in Evansville

I got the idea for this after seeing an article by Michelle Heart with our Townsquare Media sister-station, 107.9 Lite-FM in Boise, Idaho. She had discovered several animals residents in that city can't own based on city codes she found online which got me thinking about whether Evansville had any regulations that were similar. Obviously, they did or this article wouldn't exist. Chapter 14, Article 3, section 42 and 43 spell out a lengthy list of exotic animals you can get in trouble owning if local officials find out. You can see the entire list on the city's website. These are the 15 I found to be the most interesting.

Letting your dog outside when it's rainy can be a hassle because you have to dry them off when they come back inside to avoid them getting everything muddy and wet in your house.
