What Would You Do if You Won the Lottery?

Many folks like to daydream about what they would do if they won the lottery.  I mean what would you do?  I think the first thing I would do (after the initial freakout) is buy a plane ticket and start planning my dream vacation.  I'm thinking Italy, and eating all of the delicious Italian food I can handle, and spending plenty of time on a beach in Sardinia.  Heck, I may just purchase a one-way ticket! Don't get me wrong, I'd also do the responsible things like pay off my house and make sure my kids were taken care of, but I could do that stuff on the plane ride to Italy.

If you purchased a Hoosier Lottery ticket in Tell City recently, you'll want to double-check your numbers because one of those tickets is now worth $42.5 million. According to the Hoosier Lottery, this winning ticket was sold for the Wednesday, March 12th drawing, at On the Fly #822 on 12th Street.

A Nearly Record Breaking Jackpot

What makes this an even bigger win for Tell City is that this jackpot is nearly a record breaker for the Hoosier Lottery.  The $42.5 million jackpot that was recently won is the 4th largest jackpot in Hooser Lotto history!

The Hoosier Lottery says that this is only the 5th time in Hoosier Lotto history that the jackpot was more than $40 million.  They say the largest jackpot was in 2007 when someone won $54.5 million.

What are the Winning Ticket Numbers?

If you want to check your lottery tickets, the winning Hoosier Lotto ticket numbers are 10-16-24-33-39-46.  Hoosier Lottery says players can check their tickets through the Hoosier Lottery app to see if they hold the winning ticket.  Congratulations to the winner! And please know that I wear a size one-way ticket to Italy if you read this.  Just kidding! Kinda.
