Here's something unexpected. St. Louis, Missouri, the home of toasted ravioli and beer is now one of the 25 healthiest cities in America and there's science to prove it.

The reason this surprised me wasn't because I don't have any St. Louis friends that are healthy, but most of them aren't. They'd just as soon throw brews down along with numerous hot dogs at a Cardinals game than do a pull up at a gym. They apparently are the minority baed on what was just shared by Wallet Hub. Their healthiest cities in America study is interesting. They used all kinds of fitness science to decide what cities were in shape and which ones were not.

St. Louis really got dinged for health care, but was 4th in America for fitness. I'm obviously not hanging out with the right work out crowd.

To its credit, St. Louis does have many parks and outdoor places where you can go for a good walk/run and the gyms are plentiful, too.

Side note: Chicago is ranked as the 28th healthiest city and we all know that the Windy City loves coming in 2nd to St. Louis for anything and yes, that's sarcasm.
