Horrifying Illinois Mansion Looks Just Like The Shining Hotel

Ever walk into a place and immediately know something's not right? A recent exploration of an abandoned mansion in Illinois immediately gave me the chills as the explorers found certain things inside that made me think of the hotel in The Shining.

Remember this classic scene from the 1980 horror flick "The Shining"?

Stringer media on YouTube just dropped video of their exploration of an abandoned Illinois mansion that has a very familiar hallway like the one above. Oh, and there's stained glass and an incinerator in the basement, too.

According to their description in the video exploration, this abandoned Illinois mansion was left behind by a retail millionaire. Why there are so many items left behind is a mystery unless there are caretakers still overseeing this place. No matter, it definitely reminds me of the Jack Nicholson classic from 45 years ago that would make me afraid that I'd hear someone say "Here's Johnny!" with eerie twins waiting at the end of the hallway. Shivers.
