Sweet PETE is our Pet of the Week from It Takes a Village. He's a senior Beagle looking for a forever home.

PETE is a 10-year-young Beagle mix who weighs about 40 pounds. PETE and his sibling were rescued by It Takes a Village after their daddy died. PETE has lived most of his life outside, and he is very much looking forward to finding a forever home. He is adjusting well to living indoors. He will go in and out of his crate, and he's getting better with his potty manners, and PETE is a smooth leash walker (doesn't look like he's in a hurry to get anywhere).

Why in the world would we suggest that PETE might be from Asgard? Look at his eye - is that a lightning bolt? Is PETE related to Thor? Is PETE the Dog of Thunder? I'm not ruling it out!

PETE's adoption fee is $175. If you're interested in PETE, or any other animal at It Takes a Village, go ahead and fill out their online adoption application or foster application.

Also, please keep in mind that It Takes a Village is still in need of fosters for all the mommas and puppies. We are also still in need of fosters for mommas and litters. It's going to be raining puppies at ITV soon.

All of the animals at ITV are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered and FIV/FeLV-tested.

ITV is open during regular hours. However, they have received so much support and interest over shut down, that they are still working diligently to review all correspondences. They appreciate everyone’s patience as they find the best matches for their rescues.
