The Indiana State Fair has been nominated for USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Award for Best State Fair in America, and Hoosiers have the chance to help bring home the top honor by casting their votes.

A Hoosier Tradition Since 1852

It's easy to see why our state fair is getting national recognition. The Indiana State Fair dates back to 1852, making it the sixth-oldest state fair in the country. More than 170 years later, it continues to celebrate everything that makes Indiana unique while attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each summer. In fact, more than 855,000 people attended the fair in 2025, making it the largest annual event in the state.

Indiana State Fair is More Than Just Rides

Of course, there's much more to the fair than carnival rides. You'll find livestock competitions, 4-H exhibits, interactive displays, live entertainment, free concerts, and plenty of opportunities to sample some of the most creative – and delicious – fair food you'll find anywhere.

If you'd like to help the Indiana State Fair earn the title of America's Best State Fair, voting is quick, easy, and completely free. Vote once per day until voting ends on Monday, July 27th. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, August 5.
