Indiana Couple’s Halloween Display Recreates the Infamous ‘Walmart Yellow Pole’
Heather and Jared Skelton of Oakland City, Indiana have an unusual display in their front yard. Instead of zombies or ghosts, their Halloween display was inspired by the countless crashes caused by the yellow pole in the Walmart parking lot.
What's the Deal with the Yellow Pole?
It's been the talk of Princeton for at least six months, and it looks like that evil yellow pole is still taking out cars in the Walmart parking lot.
Indiana is Not the Only State with a Pole Problem
The Princeton Walmart parking lot is not the only location that has a crazy history of yellow pole crashes. I have even seen photos of this occurring in some Target parking lots. GASP!
Pole-tergeist
This could be the plot of some weird new horror flick. It is scary to think that your car could be totaled in a parking lot, without hitting another car. There have been many theories about why this keeps happening, and maybe it's more sinister than we could imagine. Perhaps the yellow pole can go invisible, this would explain the crashes, right?
And the Most Creative Halloween Display Goes to...
I'm not even going to ask the obvious questions here, like 'Where did you get a wrecked car? Or Where did you get that yellow pole and stop sign?' Let's just take in the strange beauty of this Halloween display from the Skelton family in Oakland City.
