If you're like me and absolutely love Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, you're going to be just as excited as I am about their latest update! The park just rolled out a brand-new version of their Accessibility Guide, and this time, they teamed up with the amazing folks at Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville to make it even better.

A New Way to Plan Your Day at Holiday World

Holiday World has always been great about making sure everyone can have fun, but now they’ve added a super helpful sensory rating system to their Accessibility Guide. Each ride is rated based on five different senses — sound, sight, touch, movement, and splash — and each one is labeled as low, moderate, or high.

So if you or someone you’re visiting with has sensory sensitivities, it’s way easier now to plan your day and pick the rides that will feel most comfortable. How awesome is that?

Easterseals Helped Make It Happen

Holiday World didn’t do it alone — they worked closely with Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, who’ve been helping out behind the scenes for more than 30 years. Talk about a dream team! Their partnership made sure the new guide is super thoughtful and really helpful for families who need a little extra support when planning their visit.

Leah Koch-Blumhardt, one of the park’s owners, said it best: “We hope the new ratings will help our Guests with sensory sensitivities plan for an even better visit to our parks.”

Updates to the Ride Boarding Pass, Too!

Another big update you should know about: the Ride Boarding Pass program is getting even better. If a guest can’t wait in the usual ride lines, they’ll now be able to board their first ride right away — no wait! Then, they’ll get a return time for the next ride, based on how long the line is.

It’s a small change that makes a big difference because everyone still waits their turn, but standing in long lines isn’t necessary anymore. More time for snacks, shows, and relaxing in the shade!

Making Fun for Everyone

Holiday World’s motto this year could honestly be “Fun for All!” With the updated Accessibility Guide, the gluten-free restaurant, and the Sensory Calming Room they added a few years ago, the park keeps proving they want everyone to feel included.

If you want to check out the new Accessibility Guide yourself, you can download it before you go at HolidayWorld.com/Accessibility or pick up a printed copy at Guest Relations when you get there.
