Kentucky vs. Indiana: How to Play WBKR's Border Wars [Rules]

Here at WBKR, we've created a fun new contest that's going to pit our listeners in Kentucky against our listeners in Indiana. It's called Border Wars and it officially gets underway Monday, November 1st. Here's how it's going to work and what you can win if you score a point (or points) for your team.

"WBKR'S BORDER WARS" OFFICIAL RULES

Qualification period: Weekdays, Monday, Nov 1st through Wednesday, November 23rd. To get qualified and to play, listen to 92.5 WBKR each weekday between at 7:20am and 8:20am, 11:20am and 12:20pm and 3:20pm and 4:20pm CST. **The exception will be Wednesday, November 23rd, when the final question of the contest will be asked at 7:20am.** REVISED-THE FINAL QUESTION WILL BE ASKED AND THE CONTEST WILL END AT 4:20PM, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH.

When you hear our Border Wars cue-to-call, be caller #92 at 270-926-WBKR, 1-800-844-WBKR or by using the CALL US button on the WBKR app. If you're Caller #92, you will get the chance to play Border Wars to earn a point for your team. Your team will be the side of the river on which you live. You will play for and represent Team Kentucky or Team Indiana. This contest will test how much you know about your own state and will ultimately determine who gets the braggin' rights for winning.

If you are calling from Kentucky, we'll ask you a question about Kentucky. You'll have 9.25 seconds to answer the question. If you answer correctly, you'll earn a point for your team and be qualified to win a Border Wars prize. The same goes for players from Indiana. If you're Caller #92 and from Indiana, we'll ask you a question about the Hoosier State. if you answer it correctly, you'll earn a point for Team Indiana and you'll qualify yourself to win a Border Wars prize.

However, in the event that Caller #92 gets their question incorrect, the other team will earn a point. We will update scores and standings daily on the WBKR Facebook page.

**Each caller, regardless of state, who answers a question correctly, will win a WBKR t-shirt and a WBKR swag bag! Plus, they'll be qualified for the big Border Wars Prize Draft.**

Also, once per day, we'll ask a question that's worth double points. The specific time that question will be asked will vary from day to day and may or may not be announced in advance of the Border Wars Cue-to-Call.

As mentioned, Border Wars will continue through Wednesday, November 24th (REVISED- THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH). Players CAN play more than once and they can also qualify for prize consideration more than once. The Border Wars champions will be crowned following the last question of the contest, which will be asked at 7:20am CST, on the 24th (REVISED- 4:20PM, THURSDAY, NOV 18TH). The team/state that has the highest score will be declared the winners and everyone who has answered a question correctly and earned a point for that specific team will be eligible for our Prize Draft, which will take place LIVE on WBKR's Facebook page at Noon CST that same day. (REVISED- THE PRIZE DRAFT WILL TAKE PLACE AT 11AM CST, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH).

When WBKR goes live on Facebook, the WBKR studio will be adorned in the team colors of the winning state and Chad, Angel, Barb and Dave Spencer will randomly draw for prizes from the list of qualifiers from the winning team.

Prize Distribution: On Wednesday, June 24th, 2021, at 11:30am CST, all qualifiers from the winning team will be eligible to win prizes above. Tune into the WBKR Facebook Page for the LIVE prize draft hosted by Chad, Angel, Barb and Dave.

Also, all decisions by Townsquare Media event staff are FINAL and CANNOT BE DISPUTED.

ADDITIONAL RULES AND CONSIDERATIONS

Winners must comply with all of the rules of the Contest, including, but not limited to, any restrictions on age and/or residency, and have not committed any fraud or deception in entering the Contest or claiming the Prize.

The winners must affirm and represent that he/she is not an employee or agent of the Station or any sponsor of the Contest and is not a member of the same household of any such employee or agent.

In consideration of the receipt of the Prize, the winners agree to be solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or other fees, including, but not limited to, any federal state or local income taxes, that are or may become payable as a result of participating in the Contest and/or receipt of the Prize.

The winners agree to allow the participating Stations and/or its designees the right to use winners’ names, likeness, portraits, recorded voices and/or biographical material for an unlimited period of time in order to advertise, promote or publicize the Stations and/or the products and services of any of its designees.

The Stations are not the manufacturers or distributors of the Prize. With respect to any claims that the winners may now have, or that he/she may subsequently acquire as a result of the possession and/or use of the Prize, the winners acknowledge and agrees that he/she shall look solely to others in the chain of production and distribution of the Prize to the exclusion of the Station and any sponsors of the Contest.

The station makes no warranties of any kind with respect to the prize, including, but not limited to, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Station hereby expressly disclaims any and all such warranties.

The winners expressly release the stations, and any sponsors of the contest and their respective officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees, from any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that he/she may have, or may subsequently acquire, as a result of participating in the contest and/or receipt of the prize.
