With the threat of the Coronavirus sweeping the world, the demand of virus-killing products will soon be way beyond the supply. Already third party sellers on Amazon have been asking over $40 for a bottle of Purell that normally brings about $3.50. Walmart's online service has been having trouble keeping sanitizer. Amazon has taken down almost a million different products because of price gouging. And things are only going to get worse as more cases of Coronavirus are reported.

Keeping your hands clean is one of the main ways to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. If you don't have soap and water available, the next best thing is hand sanitizer. If you can't find it in the stores, you can make your own. I found both ingredients in our house. Here's how to create hand sanitizer:

Mix 2/3 cup of alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol with 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel  and you have sanitizer. If you want to make it smell a little better add about 10 drops of vanilla extract (or peppermint or whatever you like). Additional note: you can always use vodka in the place of alcohol. Alcohol is much cheaper.

This is a whole lot cheaper than Purell and much more available.
