Evansville Otters League Announces Major Rebrand
The Evansville Otters just shared some exciting news. Their league (the Frontier League) is officially becoming the National Association of Professional Baseball starting with the 2027 season.
Why The Frontier League Is Changing Its Name
The Frontier League is a Professional Partner League of Major League Baseball and is the longest-running independent baseball organization in North America. Now, after more than three decades of growth – including expansion into Canada and new regions across the U.S. – the league has simply outgrown its name.
Growth Leads To A New Identity
Coming off a record-breaking 2025 season – with the highest attendance numbers in league history and more players having their contracts purchased by MLB teams than any other Partner League – the timing is perfect for a rebrand.
What The New League Name Represents
The new name, National Association of Professional Baseball, carries a sense of tradition (with a nod to baseball’s early roots in the 1900s) while embracing a modern, forward-thinking identity. The league’s new slogan – “North America’s Home Teams” – perfectly captures what makes these clubs special. These teams are also community cornerstones, offering affordable family fun, creative partnerships for local businesses, and a proving ground for players chasing their dreams.
What Fans Can Expect From The Rebrand
Fans will also notice a sleek new look, including an “NA” monogram logo that blends classic baseball vibes with a clean, modern feel. That branding will start popping up everywhere in 2027, but fans will get a first look even sooner. The full reveal is set for the Frontier League Home Run Derby on July 14, 2026.
