Friday After 5 Schedule for May 28th, 2021

It's Week #2 of Friday After 5's 25th Anniversary Season in downtown Owensboro. Here's a look at who's taking the stage this week!

There's big news about Friday After 5 from the Owensboro Mayor's Office as well.  Portion of Second Street will now be closed on Friday evenings.  Here's the official announcement:

Here at WBKR, we are again the official radio sponsor of Friday After 5 and I will be broadcasting live from 5 to 6pm near the entrance of the RiverPark Center.  I will be there to emcee Audition #1 in our talent series, Friday Night Fight.  We're teaming up with Friday After 5 and the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center for a winner-take-all talent contest.  The grand prize?  $1000 and the right to headline the Ruoff Party Stage on the final night of Friday After 5's 25th Anniversary Season on September 3rd.

By the way, if you know someone who sings or a duo, trio or band who'd like to compete, CLICK HERE for official rules, audition dates, etc. And friendly reminder, we're capping each audition at fifteen competitors. Registrations for the first audition (set for Friday, May 28th) are underway now and there are only a couple of spots left.

Of course, in addition to our contest, there's plenty of excellent music to enjoy at Friday After 5's stages this evening.

Definitely check out the two headliners- Allie Colleen and Linda Smith Band.  Here's a sample of what you can expect from each.

We hope to see YOU at Friday After 5!
