The NFL regular season is underway, and like everyone else with an opinion, Jimmie and I have a few thoughts on which teams we think will be playing for the Lombardi Trophy in February.

Here's how Jimmie sees it going down:

AFC Division Winners

  • North - Cincinnati Bengals
  • South - Indianapolis Colts
  • East - New England Patriots
  • West - Denver Broncos

NFC Division Winners

  • North - Green Bay Packers
  • South - Atlanta Falcons
  • East - Dallas Cowboys
  • West - Seattle Seahawks

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Miami Dolphins

  • New York Giants
  • Arizona Cardinals

  • Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots

Super Bowl 50 (Predicted winner in bold)

  • Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers

If you're a regular listener of the show, you know that Jimmie is a big Packers fan, so his prediction that Aaron Rogers and company will host the trophy probably isn't a huge shock. But at least they're a really good team and have a legit chance at winning it all, so it's not a huge stretch. If he was a Browns fan predicting them to win, that's a different story.

Here's how I see it going down. Keep in mind I'm a huge Colts fan, so my Super Bow prediction may be a bit surprising.

That's right, I have the Colts making it to the Super Bowl, but LOSING it! It pains me to do it, and I hate myself for doing it, but as big of a fan as I am, I like to keep my expectations realistic. Until they show me an improved run defense, I'm afraid they won't be able to stop the rushing attack of the Seahawks if it plays out this way, and even though the Colts have all this fancy "toys" at Luck's disposal, I'm afraid the Legion of Boom has the potential of shutting it and further confirming that "defenses win championships".

Are we crazy, or spot on? Let us know in the comments below.
