This week's adoptable pet from It Takes a Village is FLOWER, a 5-year-old Rat Terrier looking for a loving forever home.

FLOWER is a little thing, weighing less than 30 pounds, and our friends at ITV tell us that sweet FLOWER is a bit of a nervous girl, but once she warms up to you, she flourishes! She is looking for the perfect cuddle bug that can give her the best cuddles and lap to hang out in.

With the right love and care, FLOWER will blossom into the perfect best friend! She came in as a stray and is ready to go to foster. If you can offer a temporary foster home, please complete a foster application at ITVrescue.org.

All the animals at It Takes a Village are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, and treated if necessary.

If our pet of the week isn’t the right fit for your home, please visit It Takes a Village to see the other rescues that need to get fostered and adopted. And don't forget about their RENT A DOG Program. A quick fill form and copy of your photo ID will allow you time out with one of ITV's vetted shelter dogs. These day dates are great for the rescues - it gets them some exercise and new information to help us get them adopted. It’s been a big hit- so don’t miss out!
