This video shows a time-lapse of the newest skyscraper currently being built along the Chicago River, it is called Salesforce Tower and is the final of three buildings built on Wolf Point, the historic spot where the three branches of the Chicago River converge. The video was uploaded just a little over a month ago, and is only 21 seconds long but gives us all a fascinating look at how these mega buildings are built on such small pieces of land!

I worked for years as a Chicago River tour guide for Wendella Boats, and when I first started giving tours of the Chicago River there were no buildings on Wolf Point, all three of these buildings have been built in a short 7-year span. According to the Wikipedia page on Salesforce Tower, also known as Wolf Point South, it will be the tallest of the three buildings on Wolf Point topping out at 835 feet tall and should be completed by the end of 2023.

If you haven't been to Chicago in the past couple of years the city is constantly growing and changing, the amount of new construction and skyscrapers going up is incredible. Take a boat tour with Wendella Boats you won't regret it, I loved working there for years. To put it into perspective Chicago has 130 skyscrapers (a building over 500 ft tall) St. Louis and Kansas City combined have 7.
