It's been well-established through our scientific social media polls, that the Eighties were the best decade. Just fixing your hair was an event. How much Aquanet can you use in one weekend? The clothes were super cool, and the music was a huge part of that decade.

Way back before we could just tap on any song to play it from our phones, we had to record it from the radio. Pressing play and record at the same time was quite a skill. If you were really brave, you would pick up the phone and call the radio station, requesting the song you wanted to record.

Living through a pandemic makes you think about those good ole days, and Susan Glass wants to go back, even if it's just for one night. She thought it would be fun to invite some friends to cruise Green River Road, like we did back in the Eighties. A few invites here and there have now caught the attention of nearly 3,000 people in the Tri-State! I spoke with Susan and she couldn't believe how fast the word spread. She really just wants to spread some positive vibes, while staying socially distant.

My birthday is coming up, and I’m getting married two weeks later. I’m trying to celebrate for the next month. And, for me, not one gift could top a recreate of our green river rd days. Who’s down? All generations welcome, but I’d suggest talking to some of us experienced folks on how it went down every weekend to fully appreciate the experience.

This simple idea to cruise Green River Road is now turning into quite an event. There will be food trucks at various locations. As soon as the trucks and locations are finalized, there will be a flyer available.

That brings us to the most important part of cruising: MUSIC! We are letting you be a part of the show Friday night. Simply record your request, shout-out or favorite memory from the 80, and send it to us. There is a really easy way to get your audio to us, just follow the instructions below.
