Take a Sneak Peak Inside Evansville Toys & Games All-New TCG Expansion
If you have ever met Daniel Barrett you would agree that he is one of the nicest guys in the business game in Evansville. I mean, in the business of Toys & Games.
Do Good Things, And Good Things Will Happen
I seriously believe that Daniel is the definition of good karma. He and his family lost their entire business worth over $200K in collectibles in an arson fire. But that did not diminish his smile or give him a bad attitude.
Risk = Reward
Starting a locally owned brick-and-mortar business buying and selling collectible toys seems like a huge risk in any market. But Evansville Toys & Games has been open since 2001 on East Mogan Avenue, and business is thriving.
There are plenty of small businesses adjusting hours or closing up shop because customers aren't coming in. That is the complete opposite situation with Evansville Toys & Games. Daniel and his family have recently expanded the shop, providing collectors with more of what they want. No matter how busy it gets, Daniel will always say hello and thank everyone for stopping in.
"I felt like if I could try a store it would allow us to be open more and have a chance to reach more people. So I discussed it with my wife and decided to try and open a store. A lot of praying that I would make the right choice. Not only for me and my family but for the community. I want to be able to help bring smiles to people's faces young and old. I still have to make money but I want to be helping people as well."
Evansville Toys & Games TCG (Trading Card Games)
Daniel's new section of Evansville Toys and Games (TCG) will open on February 7, 2025. While it is housed inside the 3810 E Morgan Ave location, there is a separate front door next to Tri-State K9 University.
Sneak Peak TCG
Daniel and his team treated me to a tour of the additional space. Basically, if you are into Pokémon cards both sealed and singles, Magic, Yugioh, Lorcana, and One Piece, you will love the selection.
You can gather and play games with friends, and the merchandise in the Evansville Toys & Games TCG can be paid for in the new space. This gives gaming fans a new spot to buy and sell cards and Daniel will be hosting non-sanctioned Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments, too.
