Evansville Native Philip Lawrence Wins 7 Grammy Awards

I had the pleasure of speaking with Joan Moore-Mobley of the Browne Sisters during my show Tuesday about her famous cousin, Philip Lawrence born and raised in Evansville and a 1992 graduate of Memorial High School.  Philip’s career has escalated as a singer, performer, co-writer and producer with Bruno Mars! Sunday, January 28th at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, Philip and the all the crew affiliated with Bruno Mars won a total of 7 Grammy Awards:

1. Album of the Year: 24K Magic
2. Record of the Year:  24K Magic
3. Song of the Year:  That's What I Like
4. Best R&B Performance:  That's What I like
5. Best R&B Song:  That's What I like
6. Best R&B Album:  24K Magic
7. Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical:  24K Magic

Who knows, maybe we could see a performance in the future with the Browne  Sisters and their cousin Philip and maybe Bruno too!  That’s what we’d like!
