On Saturday, March 10, 2018 the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science, will host its very first International Drone Film Festival. The festival offers an international platform for filmmakers to exhibit their work as well as compete for cash prizes.

The competition offers an overview of the development in trends and techniques of drone cinematography. Submission categories include:

  • Short Film (using a drone to tell a story)
  • Landscapes (Nature, Urban, etc.)
  • Extreme Video (Drone Racing, Sports, Fast Paced Videos)
  • Open Category (Non-traditional).

Submissions are being accepted until February 9, 2018 online at FilmFreeway.com. Grand prizes are for Best of Show, Best Tri-State Film, Best Student Entry and People’s Choice Award.

Public viewing of official selections will be from 11am-3pm in the Koch Immersive Theater through the day of the festival (March 10th.
