Beloved PBS KIDS Characters Set to Shine at Evansville Kids Fest
Families from across the Tri-State will gather in Downtown Evansville for the annual WNIN Kids Fest on Saturday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event promises a full day of hands-on activities, live entertainment, inflatables, and special appearances from beloved PBS KIDS characters.
A Free Family Event Focused on Learning
Each year, Kids Fest brings hundreds of families together to celebrate the joy of learning. Businesses and organizations from around the region will host booths filled with interactive activities, educational resources, and fun giveaways. Kids will also get the chance to play games that encourage creativity and curiosity while highlighting the importance of lifelong learning.
As part of the tradition, every child who attends will take home a free book of their choice, ensuring the excitement of reading continues long after the festival ends.

Meet PBS KIDS Characters and Enjoy Entertainment
One of the highlights of Kids Fest is the chance to meet PBS KIDS characters in person. Families can look forward to character meet and greets throughout the day, perfect for photos and memorable moments. In addition, the festival will feature live entertainment, inflatables, and food trucks offering a variety of family-friendly eats.
Connecting Families With Community Resources
Kids Fest is more than a celebration. It is also a way to connect families with local resources they may not have discovered otherwise. The event brings together organizations that support education, health, and family well-being, giving parents valuable information while kids enjoy a day of fun.
