Evansville Icemen veteran, and All-Star forward Nathan Moon will return to the team for the 2014-2015 season after signing a new deal the team announced Tuesday.

Moon join the team during the 2012-2013 season in a trade with the Icemen's NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets. The native of Belleville, Ontario, Canada has played a total of 95 games in an IceMen uniform, racking up a total of 27 goals and 53 assists, according to a press release to the media.

The release also included a quot from Moon saying, “For me to be able to stay in Evansville and play in front of these amazing fans is huge. We really do have the best fans in the league."

According to new Icemen coach, Kyle Mullins, Moon is a fun player to watch and is exactly the type of player the team is looking to build around this season.

The Icemen kick off the 2014-2015 season Saturday, October 18th at home against the Gwinnett Gladiators. Season tickets are available now through the Icemen website.
