Evansville Creative Studio Announces Plans to Close After 7 Years
I am not very crafty. Let me rephrase that, I'm not very good at crafts and DIY projects. But I know people who use crafting as a very relaxing hobby.
Wine + Woodworking
Board & Brush has been a great spot to have a girls' night and bring home some amazing wooden creations. The experts are there to help you every step of the way. There are 191 DIY studios across the United States, but sadly, that number is going to be 190 next month.
A Creative Chapter Comes to a Close
In a heartfelt announcement shared on social media, the owners of the local DIY wood sign workshop said the decision didn’t come lightly. Many longtime fans will remember that the studio faced potential closure in 2024 but was able to stay open after a shift in circumstances.
“We made a promise to ourselves that we would give it a year and reevaluate. Unfortunately, that year has passed, and we have decided to close the studio.
Board & Brush Evansville was more than just a place to create hand-painted signs; it became a space where people came to unwind, laugh, and express their creativity. It's a loss to our community, especially since it's one of the locally owned businesses that made it through the pandemic.
Last Workshop Info
If you want to see what it is all a bout and create something unique, there are still some upcoming workshops at the Evansville location. Saturday, August 9, 2025, will be the final day for Board & Brush Creative Studio.
You can still contact the studio by email at evansville@boardandbrush.com or call (812) 470-3283. Both will remain active through August.
