One of my favorite events of the year is back for 2023!
Wesselman Woods is a total gem located in the heart of Evansville. Wesselman Woods works hard to be a place where people can go to learn and experience nature.
They also host many educational events, and one of my personal favorites is the Maple Sugarbush Festival, where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes topped with maple syrup that was made from trees at Wesselman Woods!
45th Annual Maple Sugarbush Festival
Wesselman Woods has been hard at work collecting the maple sugar harvest from the trees of Wesselman Woods. They've been harvesting and getting the syrup ready just in time for the annual Maple Sugarbush Festival! This year the pancake breakfast will take place on two different days March 4th & March 5th.

Sunday, March 4 and 5, 2023Find out what's cooking in the Maple Sugar Shack and indulge in an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. There will be guided hikes into our very own sugarbush, fun and educational activities for kids, and animal encounters. All proceeds will benefit the ongoing work of Wesselman Woods.See what it all boils down to!This tasty spring celebration gives you the opportunity to enjoy pancakes and local syrup before you wander through the largest urban old-growth forest in the United States to learn about maple tapping.Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes with real, Indiana maple syrup. Breakfast also includes two sausage links and your choice of unlimited coffee, orange juice, chocolate milk, or white milk! Extra sausage links can be purchased on the day of the event (2 for $1).
