Get Ready for the Pup-ular Dog Day in Downtown Evansville
Dog lovers assemble! Dog Day Downtown, proudly presented by German American Bank, is making its highly anticipated return to Downtown Evansville this Saturday, September 21, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Now in its fifth year, this tail-wagging extravaganza is set to be bigger and better than ever!
A Bigger Event for More Fun
This year, Dog Day Downtown is expanding! Main Street will be barking with excitement from 2nd to 6th Street, with the 200, 300, 400, and 500 blocks closed off for this paw-some event. The expanded area means more space for your furry friends to frolic and enjoy.
Free Fun for Furry Friends
Prepare for a day packed with free activities designed to delight dogs and their owners. Your pets can navigate a thrilling agility course, indulge in a variety of bone-shaped treats at the bone bar, sip on pup cups, and even sport stylish bandanas. New this year is a fun foam party on the 400 Block of Main Street—your pup won’t want to miss it!
Pamper Your Pup
Dog Day Downtown isn’t just about play—it’s also about pampering. Treat your pet to spa services like nail trimmings, brushing, ear cleaning, and massages. There will also be a cuddle station and photo portrait station to capture those special moments with your pooch.
Shop and Support Local
Explore a variety of dog-related products from local vendors and discover the 15+ dog-friendly businesses in Downtown Evansville, easily identified by their window clings. Local animal nonprofits will also be on hand, adding to the community spirit of the day.
Community Spirit in Action
“We’re thrilled to welcome hundreds of dogs and dog lovers to our Downtown neighborhood,” says Adam Trinkel, Executive Director of EID. “We encourage you to bring your furry friends for a day of fun, free activities, and pet-friendly shopping and dining.”
