Cracks Repaired in Gatlinburg Skybridge…Walk Safely [VIDEO]
Rule of thumb...if you're walking across a pedestrian suspension bridge and the sign says, "no running, jumping, or bouncing," for heaven's sake, don't run, jump, or bounce, okay?
Recently, a guest disregarded that particular rule and went sliding down the bridge's surface, like a slide into third in a baseball game. Yep, that's a no-no.
What's more, according to FOX19 Now-Cincinnati, a metal object on the guest's clothing caused the bridge's top layer of glass to crack, resulting in the need for a shutdown while repairs were made.
While the bridge, naturally, had to close for repairs, the damage was never so severe that it became structurally unsound.
And now it's open again and folks can get THE perfect view of one of the most beautiful towns in the world.
