COVID-19 is slowly, but surely canceling what's left of 2020. Hadi Shrine Circus Executive Director Joe Vezzoso made the announcement late on Thursday, that there will be no circus in November this year. “For generations, attending the circus has been a time-honored tradition. We will certainly miss it this year, but look forward to taking this time to enliven one of the Last Great American Circuses in 2021.” The Shriners did consult with the Vanderburgh County Health Department, and they determined that it would not be safe to hold the circus.

I think back in April we all believed that the coronavirus would not be around anymore, and events would proceed as scheduled. That is certainly not the case, and who knows when things will return to 'Normal'. For now, we will keep our sights set on 2021, and the Shriners look forward to planning that big event at the Ford Center. All proceeds from the circus support the Hadi Shrine's efforts to fund children's medical expenses.
