There are plenty of ways for adults (big kids at heart) to have fun at the Children's Museum of Evansville (cMoe), but that almost always involves our kids, though. We’re usually in “parent” mode when we’re at cMoe, but what if you could flip the switch and just be a kid again? You can do just that at the one night of the year when adults get to play while the kids are away.

What You Can Expect at cMoe's Way Late Play Date

The 2026 Way Late Play Date is coming up on Friday, May 8th from 6p-10p at cMoe, and sounds like it is going to be another superfun night! Wander through exhibits you haven’t touched since childhood, challenge your friends to throwback games, and enjoy music as you roam all three floors of the Children’s Museum. Being able to run around and play in the museum would be cool enough, but the Way Late Play Date always offers up more fun things for cMoe party goers to do, including:

  • Delicious grub from Pappa Bear’s Catering
  • Plenty of yummy adult beverages
  • A silent disco where everyone’s wearing headphones and listening to various types of music
  • A magic show
  • A couple's art project
  • Science experiments

The Most Unique Museums in Indiana

Indiana is home to a whole bunch of museums, several of which house some pretty unique, unusual, and unreal items. Here is a list of 14 such museums from all around the Hoosier state. I decided to list them in alphabetical order. Enjoy!

12 Must-Visit Indiana Military Museums

Keep this list handy, and then next time you're on a road trip around Indiana, you might be able to plan a visit to one of the following museums. We have a couple of great ones right here in Evansville, by the way, so you should probably start with those.
