The Big Question

Everyone wants to know who the new owner is. I've done some research, and as of 10:30 AM on June 5, 2025, the Vanderburgh County Assessor's site still lists the owner as SBCB HOLDING LLC. The last transfer to this LLC was in 2019, which is Chris and Sandy Brown. So, there is nothing online about a new owner of the property, although it is common to sell a business and keep the building.

Social Media Reactions

There are plenty of comments both in favor of positive change and the folks who say that nothing will change.

“It’s funny how people think new owners and a new name will change the problems at that location.” – Amy Burress

Chasers Bar & Grill: We totally agree and understand the concerns based on the previous two owners and situations. But this will be a different place, run by someone with over 20 years of experience owning restaurants in the Tri-State. We have what it takes to truly upgrade the culture and environment. Stay tuned!

“Alcohol and people will always be a combination for issues, doesn’t matter who owns or manages it.” – Tom Brock

Chasers Bar & Grill: You're absolutely right that alcohol brings its own challenges. That’s why it’s so important to have strong leadership, experienced staff, and a commitment to safety and respect. That’s exactly what we’re bringing to the table.

“Sorry for all the negative comments on here! We wish you luck! We love Franklin Street and welcome you!” – Marcia Jost Frey

Chasers Bar & Grill: Thank you so much, Marcia. With the past issues, we expected some negativity, but we truly appreciate the warm welcome. We’re excited to work with neighbors like Bud's, FST, Sportsman's, and more to make this a destination everyone can enjoy.

“This is the outcome when you hire crackerjack box security with violent assault convictions… First rule of security is to deescalate the situation.” – Orlando Jones Jr.

Chasers Bar & Grill: We totally agree. That’s why we’re making major changes and upgrades, including staff and security. We’re committed to bringing in trained professionals who understand the importance of safety, de-escalation, and protecting everyone involved.
