Show of hands...how many of you spent Saturday mornings in front of the television with a big serving bowl full of cereal in hand while the Super Friends were defeating the weekly villain or Scooby-Doo and those meddling kids were making life difficult for a monster that was really just the insurance agent in disguise?

That's a lot of hands.

So what was your favorite? Mine was (and is) Lucky Charms, but Honeycomb and those bizarrely yellow Corn Pops were never too far off the menu.

Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were just BETTER when I was fishing marshmallows out of the bowl.

CEREAL RESTAURANTS

So when I learned about the existence of restaurants that are all about cereal, first I wept tears of joy, then I wondered what the options would be since there are hundreds. And, of COURSE, I wondered if there are TVs available so we CAN watch cartoons while slurping up our Count Chocula.

They sort of do that at Cereal Cinema in Indianapolis, except it's not cartoons you get to watch but kid-friendly movies like E.T. or Wall-E, and it's every OTHER Saturday morning.

A NEW CEREAL RESTAURANT COMING TO NASHVILLE

But soon, the Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar will open in Nashville, and what a treat that will be, with more than just cereal to tempt your taste buds. The future Music City hotspot, expected to open in the 12th South area, will feature more than 20 cereals with multiple toppings from which to choose. There will also be a selection of non-dairy milk as well as ICE CREAM which customers will be able to swirl into their own crazy cereal creations.

CEREAL BARS ARE POPPING UP EVERYWHERE

Cereal bars have popped up all over the world and have proven to be wildly popular. I mean, why wouldn't they be? The Keery brothers in London run an all-cereal cafe with tons of options and unique creations.

When you think about breakfast cereal, Kellogg's is probably among the first words that come to mind, so it should come as no surprise that the iconic cereal company has its OWN cereal restaurant. It's in New York City; watch how it operates.

BREAKFAST CEREAL IS APPARENTLY VERY VERSATILE

If you're ever in Las Vegas, the Cereal Killerz Kitchen offers more than 100 brands of cereal. Should we be shocked you can find something like this in Vegas?

Should we be shocked that restaurants like this are increasing in numbers at an INCREASINGLY rapid rate? Think about the age group that DID sit there on Saturday morning chowing down on Sugar Smacks, Fruit Loops, or Cap'n Crunch. THAT generation likely comprises the majority of the population in 2022.

CEREAL BARS -- NOT JUST IN AMERICA'S BIGGEST CITIES

And if you think niche eateries like this can only be found in entertainment capitols, think again. The small town of Fostoria in northwest Ohio is home to The Cereal Bar, and it is a hot ticket.

There's so much you can do with cereal. You can add it to snack mixes. You can incorporate it into fancy desserts. But mainly, you can pour into a big old bowl and take a step back in time.

Now...who wants cereal?
